Meet Our Interim Principal

We are excited to announce that beginning this Monday, November 17th, 2025, Resource Teacher Ms. Cynthia Mosqueda will serve as Interim Principal of La Mirada Elementary School at our San Ysidro School District.

There is no doubt that La Mirada Elementary School has long been recognized for its commitment to education, unity, culture, and a deep sense of community and belonging within San Ysidro. For this reason, we needed to approach the selection of its next leader with great care, thoughtfulness, and understanding—choosing someone whose heart, vision, and commitment truly reflect the spirit of La Mirada. With 17 years in education, serving as a district-level resource teacher and a multi-grade school teacher with extensive experience in dual-language curriculum, Ms. Mosqueda offers in-depth knowledge and a steadfast commitment to student achievement.
